I want it to behave just like a windowed trailer where during playback pressing back once stops the trailer and just takes me instantly back to the previous screen. Which xml is controlling this behavior?

I know it’s possible cause it behaved this way in a previous release. My reason for wanting this is that I don’t fast forward in trailers anyway so engaging the full video player when pressing back is just a bit annoying and activates refresh rate changes on my TV so I get a black screen twice on start and stop and it creates an extra unnecessary click of the back button when the trailer isn’t done playing.

I know I am nitpicking here but just take it as a compliment that this skin is pretty much perfect to me except for this small thing. Maybe an option for Full Screen (background only) in the default action for trailers could be implemented in a future update? 🙂

Keep up the great work guys! You know I am loving this skin and I am definitely going to be keeping it as my daily driver for a long time 👍
Windowed auto trailer in dialog video info will probably be removed with the next update. Probably it creates a problem on android with black screen in search hub. There will only be fullscreen.
I think it will be ok to keep the feature as long as there is a fullscreen button showing in the dialog info window at all times because the black audio only trailer in search hub is also an issue when using auto full screen trailers.

I have been trying to install your theme from last 3 hours.

You wont get it to work on 19.4. I had to update to 19.5 using the Android Installer from the Kodi Repo.

Yeah. Looks like it. I have this skin running on a Shield and everything runs great so far. Just used to crash back to homescreen every time i tried to install on 19.4.

RE: Titan BINGIE MOD v1 (UPDATED - 07/24/2020) - cscott1 - 2023-01-09

I'm also running 19.5 on android. I downloaded from the Kodi website there are two versions one for 32 bit and one for 64 you want the 64 bit version for the Shield the 32 for just about everything else. I used a thumb drive to upload the 19.5 version to my Xiaomi Mi box I'll do it over my network when I update my Shield due to the Android 12 basically breaking the ability to access folders in Kodi via file manager apps. Things were a bit wonky when I first set things up with the Highlight widget but sorted itself out after messing around with the settings a bit. I'm still using the previous version of Bingie Mod on my Shield as my daily driver while working on setting up the new build to my liking on the Mi box. It takes forever to scrape all my TV shows, I'm on day 4 and it's still scraping away. Once everything is scraped and  I fix all the Artwork to my liking I'll transfer my build to my Shield and other android boxes by copying the Addons and Userdata folders and pasting them into each device.

Hi,

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I just can't get the skin to install. A dependency is missing (The DBTV API v2)
First I had reinstalled the 19.3 version on Win 10 and now 19.5. Both get stuck on API v2. The API v2 dependencies are actually all installed.
Iam cufused.

RE: Titan BINGIE MOD v1 (UPDATED - 07/24/2020) - HugoL - 2023-01-09

Hey what's up guys! Been a long time.  I've been using a really old version on Leia, the same one I last worked on (except mine is actually modified to get TMDB helper integration and a couple of other minor changes).  I thought I'd jump into see what's new and it looks like you guys have been busy. I was really interested to see what this release is like so I downloaded Matrix 9.5 on Windows and did a completely fresh install, just installing the repository and the skin. Strangely, I had dependency issues straight away so I did another fresh install of both Kodi and the repository and I managed to get the skin installed. But before I got to even see what's new I encountered a new problem. My keyboard just stops registering inputs. It will still make the usual Kodi "click" and "woosh" sounds but without doing anything else at all so I can't navigate anything.

I restored to default Kodi and installed the skin again, this time keeping the mouse enabled so I can navigate and it seems that I can get the keyboard work again by first using the the mouse to navigate, at which point the keyboard becomes temporarily functional but soon fails again.  The only place it doesn't fail is in the settings menu.

Any ideas??

EDIT: Never mind, it seems that the bug is only present when there is no content. As soon as I loaded up some spotlight content and a widget, the problem seems to have disappeared. Going to give it a bash now and report back

In Kodi settings Turn on Kodi option:
Update official add-ons from: Any repository then try install again...

Im sure I remember a setting somewhere enable mouse support or something to the like. But I'm sure you probably already did that. Glad to have you back you contributed a lot back in the day.

Hey What's up man! Yep, already did that but it's all good now. As soon as I loaded up some content for widgets, the bug is no longer an issue.

RE: Titan BINGIE MOD v1 (UPDATED - 07/24/2020) - HugoL - 2023-01-10

My dudes! the tmdb helper integration with the categories, ratings, info dialogue etc. and also the highlights widget is so fookin’ awesome man.

I’m going to squeeze a cheeky little UK ratings logo in the MPAA part of the highlight widget for even more awesomeness.

One thing I don’t like is the absence of the plot slide on the spotlight. I’m going to put that back on my own build along with a shrinking clearlogo I think.

I’m also not keen on the main font colour being that bright/white for some reason but I think you’ve had that for a while but no worries, I’ll put that back to my liking.

So far, everything I’ve noticed is spot on, looking forward to playing with it some more but I also noticed the settings menu footer rating options is done really well too. I’ve had tmdb helper integration for a long while now but only ever use RT audience, RT critics and IMDB so it was nice to quickly access and switch on what I needed. I think the next thing to do is to clean up the rest of the skin options. So much is unnecessary there now, it needs a more simplified, less bloat option menu.

Anyway, it’s so good! Keep up the good work.

Hey Hugo. I'm glad you like it.
I am currently in the phase of fixing some of the shortcomings reported by users, but also adding some of the suggestions we received. For example, including uk mpaa ratings for the highlight widget is not a bad idea.
Some things have already been completed (It will be in the next update), including an option that will restore the hiding of the plot after some time of system idle but also some others like opening an info dialog instead of directly playing the movie in dialog info and extendedinfo. I haven't actually finished this yet, it's in the testing phase as it's a bit tricky.
The settings are pretty much sorted, maybe some things may need to be tweaked a little more, but mostly every function should work.
All in all, there will still be a little bit of tweaking, but a lot has been done during the last year. Enjoy the skin. Wink
