I had the same problem with stuttering, but it seems almost solved by setting "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" to "On start/stop" in System->Settings->Videos->Playback. WIth "almost" I mean that there seems to still be some stuttering right when the video starts, but it becomes smooth after a second or two.
I don't know if the setting has some negative effect somewhere else, but I have not seen any so far.
The change was a wild guess. I noticed in the OSD status display (the row starting with "P(fr: ...") that the framerate number fluctuated between about approx. 20 and 24 fps. Also in that row the drop figure was steadily increasing by approximately one every second. In the row starting with "W(fps:..." the framerate was steady at 25.00. I do not know much of what these figures really says, but they prompted me to try out some framerate settings.
The problem with the video stopping after some time I am also experiencing and have no solution for.
By the way, my system is a ASRock ION 330HT with OpenElec 3.0.3 on it.

This error is the same as (1) stated here: https://github.com/nilzen/xbmc-svtplay/issues/75#issuecomment-16158496
The error explained would be; there are no streams matching the BW setting you have applied.
Never got around to merge that fix it seems. If you have time, please test the branch (errorhandling) mentioned in the Issue report above and report your result to the Github issue tracker (not here).

I have xbmc V11 on Debian Wheezy
The SVTplay addon installed. when I try to run it, a pop-up informs me something like:
"Adress or network problem. It might get better by it..."
And then one can not see the rest of the text. Press ok is the option. Then the message in the right bottom corner informs that the python plugin script has failed.
I do have a running internet connection. I can watch svtplay videos through chromium with no problem. I have the Adobe flash plugin installed for browser.
Anybody know the remedy. Does it have to do something with the xbmc V11 to do? Do I need V12.
I saw on github that current version of svtplay addon is 3.2.2. I have 2.0.4 and the package was updated for Frodo by 3.0.0 - the step after my version. Does this mean it is doomed to fail as long as I stay with XBMC V11? Is there any work-around on my set-up.

SVTPlay 2.x on XBMC 11 is not supported anymore. You need to upgrade to XBMC 12.x and install SVTPlay 3.x (through the built-in addon installer) to be able to view SVTPlay content on XBMC.

Since last week i have trouble using SVTplay plugin. Using "Program A-Ö" lists all programms but nothing shows in any of the folders, for instance ABC.

Yeap, i have the same problem. It worked perfect until maybe mid of July 2013. Then I went for vacation and when try again
the other day it didi not work anymore. So I can not say exactly when it started to not work. Maybe beginning of July? I am not sure because I dont look every day.
Will there be a solution on this? I really hope because it is a very, very, nice app :-)

Fix is now out but another issue has emerged.
svtplay.se started using "https" for their video urls and XBMC's ffmpeg is compiled without SSL support.
