I sucessfully added a smb-source with my jpg´s, I can see the folders and images files, even thumbnails, but when I click on filename to see the picture fullscreen, display turns black. Same when starting slideshow.
Any hints?

how is it possible to watch the photos on atv2?
do u know any other apps?

I saved my backgrounds locally ('/private/var/mobile/Backgrounds') on the device when I float over the menu's it quickly loads and displays them. There is no reason why you couldn't do the same and save your photo's locally, if you have enough space!
What does your xbmc.log file say is the error?
The path is '/private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/xbmc.log'

pictures work here without a prob ... so as already said ... gimme the logs!
