Proposed Specification for HTPC for £1000
#1
Hi Guys,

I am looking to build my own HTPC and audio source for my hifi. The system will also be used to play limited amount of games like COD etc.

After researching the options I think I have a specification which would be compatible and would offer the necessary level of performance. However, I am no expert so I woudl welcome any advice.

The only part of the specification that I am keen on is the Asus Xonar Essence which based on feedback from various audio forums is a super choice to get great audio for the music system.
