Linux [Solved] Add-ons not functioning
#1
Suddenly some addons on my XBMC (XBMCbuntu) have stopped working. I don't seem to have done something out of the ordinary, but everytime I try to start certain addons they crash. This happens with some, but not all addons. For example Youtube, XOT-uzg and NOS still work, but Khan Academy and Revision3, as well as the subtitle addon and the weather screen produce errors.

Following is a copy of the xbmc.log where I am starting the revision3 addon: http://pastebin.com/mP6jau6h

Futher more the xbmc.log is full of the following error codes http://pastebin.com/9gjP06DE

I have tried renaming textures.db from the database folder and deleting the thumbnails folder, as suggested in this thread: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=137092

Further more, I have tried installing cpluff via apt-get. Both attempts did not have any results.

Does anyone have an idea where to go from here?

I'm going to bump this, since I am really stuck. The only alternative I have is to reinstall, and I would prefer not to do that. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Have you checked your network settings in XBMC? Make sure proxy is set to off or set up properly.

network is functioning normally, otherwise the add-ons that do function wouldn't.

Right, that seemed to be the problem. I have no idea why the proxy was turned on. Thanks for you help!

So why didn't you check in the first place when it was asked of you?

You're right, I should've, I'm sorry.

I figured since I set it up an noone changes the settings AND some plugins were still working, as well as the NFS shares the network settings had to be correct. My mistake.
