Linux xbmc does not open

Information
Hi guys, I'd appreciate it if you took a moment to help an xbmcbuntu/linux newbie.

I was running windows 7 on an old machine in my lounge when I came across xbmc. I installed the windows version and loved it and decided to make the jump to xbmcbuntu. I downloaded and installed this .iso: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/XBMCbun...NVIDIA.iso

Everything has worked fine until I tried to start xbmc.

All it does is throw up the splash page and drop out instantly. I noticed each time it does this it creates a crash report.

I thought that because I had an intel chipset that I should install the intel iso, but perhaps my problem is that I have an AMD graphics cardHuh? if this is the case, do I have to reinstall with the AMD .iso or can I work around this?

If this isn't the case, could someone please weigh in??

Thanks Smile

And if you have an older ATI card with HD5xxx and lower you need this http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1321833
