I noticed that kodi says my display is showing in 720p even tho my ugoos ut2 box is set to 1080p/60 and my LG tv confirms that. my android box only has settings for 720p/60 or 1080p/60.

Kodi might be showing what the GUI is being rendered at. You can use this as a test to see what the videos are really doing: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=211244

so basically if i could see all the fine lines im at 1080p and if not im 720p?

ok so I checked it out and I couldn't see the fine lines in the 1080p image, it looked like 9 solid bars but the 720p image looked fine.

would i be able to change something on the gui to have it render at 1080p
