Running Lint Mint 21.1 Cinnamon desktop environment on a mini Dell Optiplex 3040 Micro Computer Mini Tower PC (Intel Quad Core i5-6500T, 8GB DDR4 Ram, 256GB Solid State) interfacing to TV over HDMI.

The install goes well using software manager but when it launches the screen goes blank and requires a restart.

Does anyone know of any fix.

The install goes well using software manager

All 3rd party OS'es repackaged/recompiled Kodi for their own benefit. Any deviation from the original is technically beyond the reach of TeamKodi's.

For Ubuntu-flavored distros, we normally recommend to use our own PPA, although Linux Mint has been a "problem child" from time to time over the years in my experience. Intel Graphics on Linux shouldn't be too much of a problem, this combination has worked fine for me for several years, including with Kodi.

Also, not providing any tangible evidence such as Kodi's own log file makes it pretty difficult for us to troubleshoot your problem.
