Hi\

I have a tablet, and it has android on it. Now I downloaded the KODI app from the google play store and installed it on my tablet.
Now I have the add-on Retrospect installed and it works, but not well actually.
I am a nedelander and we have uitzending gemist, here you can watch TV programs back .
Now I have read that you can watch TV programs back with /using Retrospect.
But when I open Retrospect and go to the replays/tvprogram`s of for example kijk.nl, then I see programs that I can click on, and I also see a picture of the beginning of the broadcast, but when I click on it I get an error message. this happens with a lot of programs that are listed there.
Does anyone know what goes wrong here and how I can solve this?

Hi

What I am wondering is , On the second image ( Left )that there is shown DRM Protected in yellow .
Here you can see that DRM Protected is shown in yellow , now I wonder if this yellow text DRM Protected means something .

What I mean by this is there may be things that need to be done in KODI./ Retrospect

Thanks

The programme from the image you posted plays fine over here.
The DRM protected mark basically means that you need widevine to play the video.
Without a debug log it's hard to tell what's going wrong. Please create a new debug log and post link here. Search the wiki on 'debug log' for more info on how to do that. There are also a few add-ons like Kodi Logfile Uploader that you could use to upload the log.

There seems to a problem with widevine, but in this log there is no detailed info pointing to the cause of the problem. Please ensure you've enabled debug logging in Settings -> System -> Logging.

Widevine is a piece of software from Google, used to decrypt DRM protected streams. On android systems Kodi (or rather InputStream Adaptive) uses the widevine library shipped with android. I don't know what kind of tablet you have, but Kodi sees it as a raspberry pi 5 running Lineage OS, which is not a very common a setup. I'm not familiar with Lineage, you better ensure that they do ship widevine.

Apart from a debug log it would be interesting to see what info InputStream Helper provides.
Open InputStream Helper's settings. (Settings -> Add-ons -> My Add-ons -> Programme add-ons -> InputStream Helper -> Configure) and click on 'InputStream Helper information'.

Sorry for the delay, I somehow don't get email notifications of new posts anymore.

It looks like widevine is missing.

So, you pressed "Install Widevine.." in retrospect's settings, right?
From the time it took to complete it's pretty safe to conclude it did not actually install widevine, but what was the result? What messages did you get?

From the log and images you sent, I can't make out whether Inputstream Helper thinks you're on android or linux.
Check what the output is of 'Inputstream Helper information' on the Expert settings of the addon Inputstream Helper (make a screenshot)
If you find a settings '(Re)install Widevine CDM library...' on the same settings page, try that.

If ISHelper thinks you're on Android, check with Lineage OS if they ship libwidevine and where it's to be found. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they have the same distribution restriction as to Kodi.
