I have this old media center, which is anyway still able to plave 1080P, so I think is a good piece of hardware. Netgear stop to update firmware. I was wondering if would be possible to install xbmc live on it.

I'd guess it's a closed paltform (with one of those sigma chipsets), if you could install a linux distribution on it then you might have a chance.
