Dharma && Mythtv backend && live channels
#1
I have been searching this quite a lot, but no success - not even a hint so far...

Any idea how to view live channels provided by Mythtv backend (version 0.23.1 + fixes) with Dharma's b1?
Old myth:// protocol doesn't list live channels at all while I can still view other stuff with it (recordings and even program guide). Nor the "script" solutions like mythbox are not available in Dharma...

Maybe I must find some addon for this? Which one if there is any?

Do you have a log file showing any errors when trying to load the Live TV channels using myth://

I decided to upgrade mythtv to 0.24 (trunk), but in case it doesn't matter I uploaded the logs:

xbmc.log

mythbackend.log

EDIT:
I noticed that I have a backup of my .xbmc folder, this log file is dated 04 Sep 2010 and the mythtv backend version at that time was 0.23.1+fixes

This is because a newly introduced token must be passed during connection to the backend as part of Myth 0.24.

Code:
MainServer::HandleVersion - Client did not pass protocol token. Refusing connection!

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Is this "token pass" thing going to happen in Dharma release? I could only find a mythtv related mention in Eden's roadmap that mythtv code is going to be moved to PVR back-end client addon, couldn't find any mention about mythtv in Dharma's roadmap...

The Dharma branch is locked down at the moment to bug fixes only. It's probably debatable whether working with 0.24 is a bug fix or not. However, with the largish number of changes that were made to the 0.24 Myth Protocol it's still not even clear how long it will take to add support for it.

A few developers have registered support for helping get the myth:// support updated to support 0.24 so hopefully it won't take too long.
