Need Suggestion of Remote+Receiver on Ubuntu
#1
Total XBMC noob here. Going to be purchasing a system and setting it up as a dedicated Ubuntu XMBC server. Haven't seen much on suggestions for a remote & receiver setup. Just wondering what the community would suggest and maybe where to purchase one. I'm in Canada so a Canadian site to buy from would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi.
A cheap, easy to configure remote:

Available on eBay for $8.

If you want something plug-and-play, look for MCE remotes.

You can find very useful information here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Rem...ol_Reviews to make a more informed decision.

Streamzap has always done well for me.
Had mine for over 3 years now and it's still working perfectly..

I am using this one:

It is 100% MCE compatible and works with minimal fuss. The USB receiver has a 3-4 foot cable too so HTPC doesn't have to be mounted in sight.

Thanks! Ended up picking up a Microsoft remote off of ebay for $17 with free shipping.

Please point to the model of your choice. I'm always testing remotes and might be interested in that one.

Thanks.
