Acer Revo RV100. Anyone Tried this
#1
Hi All,

just seen these little bad boys on ebuyer.com
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/236594

It has an hdmi port, but I cannot see any spec's on hardward other than disc size. Was wondering if this is a potentail HTPC like the Revo 36x series.

I like the styling

From what I can tell its for playing media streams rather than being a full computer like the 3600 etc. Might be hackable to install linux though, it seems like all the hardware is there.

this is a sigma- or realtek-based networked media tank device (what google surely would have told you), not a HTPC, so you are completely wrong here.
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs

Looks like it's the realtek RTD1073DD

i.e. No XBMC on that

Hello,
There is the solution for FTP server (stupid-ftpd). http://rick.gabsor.nl/index.php/geartips...anftp.html . I don't speak Dutch but I understood easy instruction. STUPID-FTPD works well on Acer Revo RV100.
I have tried packages on this device too (ipkg-cl works). But there is a problem with RW filesystem. I cannot create /opt directory. See http://minimodding.com/tiki-view_forum_t...rentId=289
Please help with further solution of this problem.
