hi , is xbmc playes the audio files natively ? f.g.: if i have 24 bit 192 khz .aiff file on my nas, would xbmc play the file as it is , or modifies it in any way ? or is it only a hardware issue, and nothing to do with xbmc ?

XBMC currently always converts everything to 16 bit, this is being worked on.
The samplerate should be unchanged.
