My log is showing the above. Is this normal? Sometimes it says it can't read a thumb as well, even though I can open it in windows preview just fine.

Is this why my thumbs directory is 1.7 gig?

This is actually rapidly becoming a big issue on my box and was not present before. I've made no changes, but my log file gets loaded with these errors.

More so, when I start XBMC, there is no background, it's just black. I suspect it's related to this, as for whatever reason, it can't load the thumbnail, and then can't delete it upon exit.

Could this be why the thumbnail directory is so huge (~1.7gig)? How can I fix this/prevent this? Am I posting this question in the right place, or would there be a better section to ask this?

I noticed that you have the same error messages I have in my logs and also that your screen is black.

I'm guessing something is happening with the thumbnails, as if I wait for it to cycle through (I have multi backgrounds with aeon nox), an image will eventually appear.

I may be asking this in the wrong place, I'm not sure

I wonder if it's worth deleting the cache. Backup your profile before you try this because I'm only reporting a vague memory, but try deleting the userdata\cache directory. In your Database folder you also need to delete Textures.db (Textures6.db with per-Eden). You could also delete the Tumbnails directory for good measure. XBMC should recreate all the above when you next run it.

Thanks, I'll definitely give all of the above a try. I wonder what happened that put me in that state. I always shut down and so forth. I'll report back when I get a chance to do it!
