Problems with XBMC live and USB stick
#1
I have been using XBMC live with my ASUS AT5IONT-I Atom D525 motherboard and an USB memorystick. It works fine for a while(months) but then suddenly an error message appears while booting up saying it cant find any boot devices.

I thought maybe my USB stick had gone bad and bought a new one:

Works fine for a while, but then same thing happens. What is going on? Do I need to buy myself a harddrive and install the windows version instead or what?

I had the same problem, but surrendered already after one USB fail and got myself a small SSD. The USB failed already after about 10 days, SSD install has been working for 2+ months now.

I think I've read somewhere that there are a few manufacturers known for making good enough quality sticks (and thus the rest being "at your own risk), but I didn't dig further into the subject since I bought the SSD.

Edit: Faster boots with SSD too Smile
