Yes. It will be very capable of 1080p.

The G530 is a slightly stronger CPU than the A6-3500. The G530 can be had for $35 at Micocenter.

Retail G540 at superbiiz.com normally goes on sale weekly if there is no Mircocenter near you. Right now, no sale, its $43.

Also, I am not a fan of the MI-008. I cannot comprehend how it can get adequate cooling to the processor with the power supply directly above it blocking air flow. I ended up putting the power supply in the optical drive location of the case. Not ideal. Throw a Pico into that case, it is a perfect Mini case IMHO, but that defeats the purpose of a budget build also IMHO.

I like the Titan DC-155A915Z/RPW 95mm Z-AXIS CPU Cooler for a budget low-profile cooler. It won't be jammed up against the PSU like the stock cooler will be. It works very well to cool the G530.

Weird. If I click on that link it doesn't work. But if I click on it in the search results it's there and the URL is the same.

Try this:

That one's my favorite.

Here's a thread I wrote on three different low-profile LGA1155/1156 coolers available at Newegg/Amazon:

I have a similar setup. Perfect for a bedroom I did notice when playing full blu ray rips it would struggle a little. Added a GPU and now its perfect.

This one "Slim Silence i-Plus (CC-SSilence-iplus)" might be the thinest (28mm) CPU cooler for Intel socket 1155 on the market......

That is a great price. Link?

I've used that motherboard in a few builds. I've had one bad motherboard I just RMA'd. The GPU driver can be a little finicky -- maybe that is fixed now. Some driver versions were giving a BSOD on install but the driver on the ASUS website was fine. There is also no option in the BIOS to turn off the power LED in S3 sleep so it blinks. It's still a good board though. I am using it myself for my bedroom HTPC so not just in systems I've built for others.

I've been using the Gigabyte GA-H61N-USB3 lately too and have had good luck with it. The BIOS isn't as nice as the ASUS and it only has 2 x SATA internal but it's been in-stock and cheaper than the P8H61-I at Amazon so it's been my go-to board these past few weeks.
