After running with a few different media players since I retired my original modded Xbox, I am back to XBMC using the above mentioned PC with HDMI. I have pretty much everything all working perfectly but can not for the life of me get audio to work over HDMI. It works fine with the analog output, but no digital. When I list audio devices through the console, I see only analog devices. My specs are as follows...
- HP Pro 6005 SFF
- XBMCbuntu 11 Eden
- HDMI using DisplayPort to HDMI adapter
According to HP, audio works fine through the DisplayPort using the HDMI adapter. I really do not want to reinstall windows 7 but am thinking I may have to if I want digital audio. Any clues out there
