Win Speaker config
#1
Hello

I have a real annoying issue.
My setup is a 5.1 hdmi system computer->NvidiaGT430->receiver (NAD-748)->speakers. All have worked well since I changed from Ubuntu to Win7, but now has the same sound issue have shown itself in win7 that I encountered in Ubuntu.

Suddenly since yesterday all 5.1 movies that I have plays only the back/satellite speaker sounds still the receiver states that it plays DTS surround. I cannot hear any speech from the movie in the front or center speakers only back/satellite sound are coming out on the front speakers.

I think windows 7 is sending out a surround signal like a stereo signal.

It is like trying to hear the driver speaking to you when riding in the trunk of a car.

I have checked the settings in XBMC, windows etc and have not installed new software.

any ideas how to sole this issue?

Since you have very nice GT430 and NAD T748, you can set up your HTPC for bitstreaming using the instructions in SETUP section of this thread- Windows How to Bitstreaming using XBMC.........
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!
