Hebrew subtitles services
#1
Hi

I'm currently running 2 versions of xbmc with 2 different subtitles addon versions, with each I have certain issues with some of the hebrew subtitles websites available:

1) XBMC 10.1 (PM3 HD skin) with xbmc subtitles 2.5.16 (set to autoupdate but it hasn't updated above that)

sratim.co.il - does not work (always returns no results)
subscenter - works fine

2) XBMC 12.2 (PM3 HD or Confluence skins) with xbmc subtitles 3.9.7

sratim.co.il - works fine
subscenter - does not work. Gives the next error: cannot contatenate 'str' and 'tuple' objects.
torec.net - added to services but not showing in PM3 HD skin when using options to try a different service than default.
torec.net - added to services, showing in Confluence skin when using options to try a different service than default but returns unusable results: "8 subtitles for for 'name_of_tv_show'", but no available subs showing to choose from.

thanks in advance.

anything below 3.9.7 is not supported, sorry... way too old

we have just merged the "torec.net" service and there has been an issue with service addition that prevents it from working properly. 3.9.8 should have it fixed once it gets out in a week or so, alternatively you can install it manually by cloning https://github.com/amet/script.xbmc.subtitles and moving script.xbmc.subtitles folder in userdata/addons.

thanks for replying amet. I guess the old version is the only one still available for xbmc 10.1 ? It is set to autoupdate but it didn't update above that.

I will wait for the update with the torec fix to get autoupdated as for now I can use sratim. Is there a fix for subscenter too? that doesn't work either.

xbmc 10.1 is over 2 years old, we don't support that anymore.

most of the services are done by other people here and on github, I have done main script part and 4-5 services. you need to look in changelog and see who to contact for a fix. if error is identified with a service and not fixed we usually just remove it after a while.

https://github.com/amet/script.xbmc.subt...ngelog.txt shows me that Ori Varon added it in 2.9.5 and BBLN fixed it in 3.2.0, you need to get their attention for a fix.

understandable. Excuse my ignorance, I don't usually frequent forums or dev threads and not sure where I can find BBLN to ask his help with that...

thanks. I'm not too good with manually doing this stuff so might wait for the next version. If it's possible to fix the srt renaming issue that would be great too (described elsewhere on the xbmc subtitles forum).
