Hi,
I been using XBMC on my desktop for quite a while now, i configured it to work via netwrok so that i can control it with my iPhone.
i use the following settings:
IP 192.168.10.13
port : 8082
user : xbmc
pass : xbmc
and it works fine
last week i got my RaspberryPi, I downloaded the raspbmc image and installed it and it works great including SMB so i can see the movies that are stored on my desktop via the home network.
only problem i got is that i can NOT get the iOs remote to "find" the raspbmc it keep showing a "red dot".
i use the following settings for the raspbmc
ip 192.168.10.44 (as it got from the DHCP server)
port : 8083
user : xbmc
pass : xbmc
i also defined a rule in the router/firewall to "allow and forward" the communication from WLAN to that IP & Port, same as i had to do for the desktop.
desktop - wroks.
raspbmc - don't work
any1 can give me a hand here?
Thanks in advance )))))
