Hi guys,

I want to add files from my nas to my xbmc library. My nas is a wd my book live and my question is wether i have to choose nfs or smb? I can choose both, but what is the better choice? Xbmc is installed on a windows machine, does that mean smb is the right path?

If your NAS supports NFS use NFS. I use SMB myself but most posts I have read say you get better performance out of NFS.

It doesn't matter if your XBMC is on windows or linux it depends on what your NAS supports, most quality NAS devices support NFS.
