I use the file/folder name cleanup all the time on TMM and have never had it go wrong. I know that there is always a possibility that it could accidentally delete or mis-rename files or folders so I would never ask for it to be on by default, but an option to have TMM automatically run the file/folder name cleanup on scrape would be nice. That way I can stop having to relaunch TMM to do it when I forget.
