Yeah, adding a suitable REST web service later on would make it way more easier for developers to submit their add-ons!
This whole system sounds like a bit of work though. So I'll prioritize rest of the core features, and some other features over it.

Gotta draft my proposal now. I'll start a new thread once I complete it.
