I've been all over the settings & can't figure out what the baby did. Were watching Kodi video when he put both hands on Windows 8, iview stick remote and everything went silent. Checked smart TV remote & settings. TV sound is OK. Checked sound settings in the Windows OS and sound OK there, too. Only in Kodi do I have the silence. Not remote mute. Anybody have any idea what he could possibly have messed up?

Kodi has its own sound level and mute. If your remote us not bound to the kodi mute, he must have pressed the keyboard command. See the wiki for the list of commands.

Wow - it was the iview stick's remote. Pressing buttons I found that a function mutes Kodi sound. Aargh!
