Hi,

i have an USB-HDD connected to my router.

I can add it as a videosource by selecting Upnp device. The problem is that it doesnt download any metadata like when i add an SMB Source. Is there a way that i can get kodi to download the meta data? If i only add the Upnp device as a videosource it will also not create a movies tab in the mainmenu.

What can i do?

So i will never have a good looking library with my hdd connected to the router? Is there another way to accomplish it?

Im not very into the techical aspect here. What is samba? You mean SMB? When i connect my HDD to the router it only shows up under Upnp in kodi but not under smb.

EDIT: Let me kiss you!!!!! By manually writing in the location on the router using smb://tplinlogin.net i got it to work .... Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
