So I can't access weather, connect to LastFM, get any RSS feeds etc.

But I can ftp to my xbox.

I have the same problem with either static IP or DHCP.

I have made sure that my evox.ini file is correct (i.e. its consistent with XBMC settings). I also disabled TSR and IGR in evox.ini

When I use DHCP, I do get an IP address and I do pick up DNS from the router.

When I use static, I have also tried setting my router's IP in the DNS field (instead of my ISP's DNS IP).

I have also tried plugging my laptop into the same port as my xbox uses but don't have any problems so I don't think it's the cable or the port (my laptop gets an internet connection no problem).

Any suggestions please?

Evox has absolutely nothing to do with xbmc- If you aren't using evox as a dash you could delete it altogether and it wouldn't matter. I don't even have it on my xbox, for example.

I couldn't get your logfile to open up... but,

what kind of mod are you using? If it is a chip is there a setting for internet connection?

Also- is the "enable internet lookups" checked in the 'settings' section?

Try connecting the xbox directly to the internet if your setup allows it (ie. without the router) and see if you can connect that way.

Also, you could try using a dash like unleashx or avalaunch just to see if the xbox is connecting- see if you can access the online skins.

If you provide some more info I'll try and help you out.

I'm using the xecuter 2.6 Lite

I recently had to reinstall XBMC because the hard disc failed, before that I had no problem with the internet.

Goto the network settings of xbmc, set assignment to dhcp, make sure the http proxy is unchecked, enable internet lookups is checked. Restart xbox. Click right thumb, goto system info, network.

Please post what you see (type or screenshot).

Did you try connecting directly to the internet without the router?

Ah man, I can't believe I left enable http proxy switched on. What an idiot. Thanks for your help, it now works perfectly.
