caching slideshow data
#1
Hi!
I've got a slideshow of pictures running in Kodi... the pictures are located on a NAS.
The NAS is set to spin down if it's not being used. However, it's always being used because pictures are constantly being loaded by the slideshow.
There are only about 50 pictures in the slideshow... without copying the data to the client device, is there a way to set Kodi to simply cache the files that have previously been loaded, so that eventually the NAS isn't used?

Thanks,
J

Nice idea, but atm NO. The work-around might be to install an SSD in the NAS as some sort of cache drive. Perhaps there is other ways of handling this, what are you going for?
