Win Clearing Cache
#1
When I used to use Kodi on an Android box I was able to clear cache from within Android Settings after choosing the Kodi App.

Does anyone know if this is possible using Windows 10?

I have seen Cache references in the APPDATA but wonder whether it is the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated.

What do you suppose the cache clearing would do?

There's all kinds of cache and temp folders in the windows o/s some for memory, some disk, and within various programs like Kodi. Usually a reboot gives you a fresh start, or just running Process Explorer will consolidate memory, Changing disk size usually clears that and most browsers have some sort of clear cache. Do a search from the windows desktop for 'clear caches' and tons will be referenced. Android should have some sort of auto clean-up utility too, but I have seen the 'clean memory' button, and it clearly indicates not all memory fragments get cleared, or is it just that the cache is dumped and has to be refilled? I suspect this is a feel good user tool.

Here's a link that might placate https://www.geckoandfly.com/9298/flush-a...ory-cache/

OTH: when it comes to Kodi, I find this tool quite useful http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=272112

I was not querying the use of clearing cache but whether Windows had the same facility as Android in being able to "clear cache" whatever that meant.

Thanks anyway for your reply.

Many thanks for your reply. I do have and regularly use the Video Database Cleaner.

I shall also investigate your other link for information.

I do appreciate your taking the time to respond.
