Guys,

I have a networking issue that I cant explain.

I initially spent hours trying to work out why my Kodi on a Wetek OpenElec would not connect to my TVHeadend on my Synology NAS, even though my Kodi install on my Amazon fire Stick would connect OK.

I performed a fresh install on the Wetek bit it still wouldn't connect.
I enabled SSH and tried to ping the Synology NAS. I get no response from the NAS when I ping from the Wetek. I do get a response from everything else on the network such as my router, hue hub etc but nothing from the nas. dont get anything listed when I perform a trace route either.

I SSH into the NAS and performed a ping from the NAS to the Wetek and got a good response so the connection works.

I also tried pinging the NAS from my windows laptop and it worked fine.

I cant work this out. Every ping from any device to any other seems to work other than the connection between the Wetek and Synology NAS.
Could anyone give me any suggestions as to what to check as this doesn't make any sense to me.
