Idx/Sub - Change Subtitle's size and color?
#1
When playing movies with idx/sub subtitles, they are huge and cyan with a large border. How can I adjust that behavior to match that of the SRT ones?

You can't - they're embedded bitmap graphics. The colors I believe are currently not right though.

OK, I don't mind seeing DVD's native subtitles, but OSXBMC doesn't display them correctly. See example: Image
They're huge, cyan and have a big fat border. So I guess this qualifies as a bug.

Ah, good to know. Can you email me the patch and I'll incorporate it into my build of the ffmpeg libs?

Thanks!

Way to bring up an ancient topic (2008!)

As they said the sub/idx are graphics not characters. Are you using those kind or .srt/ssa?

Flirc now has a forum: forum.flirc.tv

Patience.. Smile

Yes those are bitmaps, but palette can be fixed. Mplayer(2) shows always selected colors, shouldn't be big problem with ffmpeg/XBMC?

Ffmpeg is mostly same, both GPL..

http://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel...10887.html

Ffmpeg list had some talk about fixing subtitle colors.

Still means squat with respect to xbmc source code.

cars have wheels, so do trucks but that does not mean my car can load 10 tons a rocks.

And patch that fixes DVD subs colors inside ffmpeg has zero to do with changing a subs color and size in xbmc source code.
