This is the reason Walmart has dropped the price on the Xiaomi MiBox, the replacement box is expected to hit Walmart in the USA, this month of October. Projected selling price of $59 USD.

Looking at the specs for the original Xiaomi Mibox, which uses the Amlogic S905x, and the replacement that uses the Amlogic S905L, seems the "L" may be less powerful. Your thoughts, look at the "video decoding" spec.......

Also doesn't look like it supports ethernet at all, only wifi, so 4K streaming could be a bit iffy.

XDA says its S905X, so same SoC as current gen. Think Fire TV Stick 4K looks more promising for a budget do-it-all device.
