I have a question that I hope to get answered.
I already know that a skin with textures made for 1080 native and coded for that resolution as well scales up to 4k GUI just fine because its a multiple of 2 and all.
What about if you get a 8k display? I know thats still an even multiple but naturally I would assume it would lose image quality being scaled up so much, but IDK.
Also at that high of a resolution would image/texture PPI come into consideration at all when skinning for kodi? High end displays offer image resolutions of over 200ppi and I think that texture assets at 72ppi would look yuck on a display like that.
Not sure tho since I dont own a screen like that, but I'd like to know others opinions about this as well.
