Problem scanning .ts files...
#1
It seems I'm having an issue when attempting to scan.ts files to the library.

I am using MIP to set the data for new episode. I update the library and the show itself is picked up, but it doesn't pick up any episodes.

If I rename to .mpg it works perfectly.

I can browse to the episode in file view and it shows up and plays very nicely.

No thoughts on this one?

Is more info needed?

Am I the only one having the problem?

It still exists in current SVN.

Should I be filing a trac ticket?

Is anybody home?

Yep, trac it please. Would be extremely helpful if you could attach some dummy file/folder structure to reproduce.
Always read the online manual (wiki), FAQ (wiki) and search the forum before posting.
Do not PM or e-mail Team-Kodi members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules (wiki).
Please read the pages on troubleshooting (wiki) and bug reporting (wiki) before reporting issues.

Thanks for the reply. I'll generate a new debug with a current SVN and jot down the file structure as well. Hopefully tonight when I get home.

Ok, after doing some digging, it looks like part of the problem was coming from MediaInfoPlus misnaming the nfo files it creates for .ts files.

It currently drops the last letter from the file name of nfo/tbn files that are generated. I assume this is because of the shorter extension.

If the properly named nfo file is present, it will pick up the episodes.

Since I didn't feel like going through and fixing any generated files, I figured I'd let XBMC do the scraping, since the files will be named correctly and all.

When I do that though, it doesn't pick up the episodes whether they are .ts or .mpg. It seems to see them but doesn't go out to tvdb to pick up the info.

A new debug log is linked from when scanning a folder named "Family Guy" with a subfolder "Season 7" and a file named "Family.Guy-S07E16-Peters.Progress.mpg". Same result with mpg or ts this time.

Throw a properly named nfo in there and all is well.

Will I just have to wait until Fekker is back online to automate my scraping?

If someone would be so kind as to delete my trac ticket (as it doesn't seem to apply anymore). I unfortunately realized what was really going on as I was creating/attaching the files.

Thanks much and sorry for the trouble.
