i really need some help setting up my remote (preferrably my harmony 885.. i also have the xboc 360 big one) together with the IgorPlug-USB.

i tried eventghost, but it seems that EG always gets different codes for the same buttons depending on how war away i am from the ir receiver

plus i couldnt really get it to work with girder 4..i added some buttons but after launching xbmc it didnt do much..

can someone point me in the right direction?

I don't know what IgorPlug-USB is, but if it's the IR receiver, I'd suspect this is the culprit here. EventGhost is just a software and gets the codes from the receiver. It can't change it based on distance. Did your remotes have good battery power when you tried it?

I use Harmony 880 which emulates Pinnacle MCE Remote with latest EG and apart from a couple of gripes, I am very happy with this combination.

yes igorplug-usb is the ir receiver... i guess i just have to play around with it.....
