iPad XBMC Bluetooth Keyboard Support?

Just installed XBMC on my iPad and I can't believe how well it works! Even streaming HD content over my crappy 802.11g network from my main HTPC box gives me flawless frame rates!

Anyhow, of course the interface is a pain on the touchscreen because of the skins being designed for non-touch interfaces, but I happen to own a Clam Case which comes with a BT keyboard. I was wondering if someone could poin me in the right direction to get it working with that, assuming it's possible. I've got plenty of experience gettin LIRC working with XBMC, and I'm totally willing to do some legwork if necessary. Some quick searching showed some ATV threads but havent seen anything particular to my needs.

Any help would be dearly appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate it.

You mean the ATV specific sticky? Did read that. It mentioned BTStack, which I installed. Since this isn't an ATV there is no Front Row to interface with. The thread mentions BT support was added in a previous release. Just not understanding where to go from there.

I'd try with Cydia:

Thank you for the links. I purchased the BTStack KBD app. I wasn't 100% sure if it was necessary because my keyboard was already recognized by the iPad, but I figured if the XBMC code interfaced with the bluetooth code from btstack specifically it might be.

Anyhow I find myself in the same situation as before. Using either Apple's native BT stack or the one from Cydia, everything works perfectly, except for the fact that I get no response from XBMC at all. The question then is how do I teach XBMC to use the bluetooth keyboard recognized by the iPad?

minipulator,
I think the version of XBMC you were using didn't have the code necessary for text input via bluetooth keyboards. The unofficial nightly did.

However, with the 10.0-8 and 10.0-9 official release, you should give it another try and see if you can now input text via your bluetooth keyboard.

No go on that, see http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=825...tcount=307 and http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=717359&postcount=2

Still no support in 10.0-9.
