I'm not sure, maybe we can do something in the software to let all AVRs and 3D TVs recognize the box.
Don't know if other A31s powered boxes also have this problem.

Update:
Connected to my Onkyo 737 Receiver and with the HDFury adapter the box plays 3D and bitstreaming DTS-HD fine. The only issue I found is that movies with Dolby Digital 5.1 are played with a loud noise overlaying the sound.

Can anyone confirm that the stuttering & buffering issues has been well addressed in this release? I still experience these in big 2D mkv files (~20Gb) over wireless SMB

I don't have buffering issues over wired lan and smb.

I attempted to post an answer a few hours ago, but it is not up at this point, so I apologise if the original turns up at some point as well.
No buffering over wired LAN with smb or NFS with Bluray Isos even (40-50GB files). Your problem may be wifi - we used to have some intermittent problems using a HTPC over wifi to our server which was less than 5m away (and only through a thin, slatted door), which is why we changed to wired.
