Hi there,
I want to watch live TV because I have a TV tuner and I'm currently not doing anything with it.
My computer is quite old now (more than 10 years) and, you know what?, I don't know which TV tuner it has LOL
Win 10 recognises it in the device manager, but I never used it.
Based on win properties, it is something like dvb-t2 itetech af9015 bda device.
Which backend should I use wit Kodi in order to watch live TV?,I'm completely lost with this issue.
Thanks in advance and sorry to bother you with such newbie question.

I've been using nextPVR software on my windows desktop with a Hauppauge quad tuner card to provide digital over the air TV service. NextPVR also has a Kodi addon that will allow you to watch TV on multiple Kodi devices in your home if they are on the same network as your windows pc .
I don't know whether or not the software will work with your tuner. However the Hauppauge card does come with viewing software if you're only interested in watching TV on your windows PC. If installing a tuner card in your PC is beyond your skill level, Hauppauge also makes tuners that plug into your computer's USB port.

Since this unknown tuner has proper bda drivers for windows you should be able to use it with a pvr backend like npvr or others.
I suggest trying the previous poster's suggestion.
I use linux myself as a backend platform, but there's a windows version for tvmosaic that you can try (for 30 days as it's a paid option).
Let us know your findings..

i second the vote for trying npvr if its a windows computer, its free software and i have been quite happy with it for the past year or so, having a bda driver means there is a good chance it should work with your tuner card.

Welll, it's kind of strange this behaviour...
I tried NexPVR as suggested.
It throws no errors when installing whatsoever, so I guess everything is fine and tuner is getting found and configured.
But when I open the software, it shows black screen in every channel. It says the codec is not supported.
What I'm supposed to do next?, install different codecs until find which works?, any particular codec needed?. I'm lost.

Updating drivers didn't change anything.
I'm going to install those LAV decoders and see if they fix the issue.
Thanks.

I installed the LAV drivers and now the codec not supported error goes away, but still no picture. Everything is black. This is frustrating.

You should be asking those questions in the NextPVR. You need to get NextPVR working before worrying about Kodi and Kodi logs.
