I have been reading through the post you provided, the sub-links in this thread and off into the wider world.
I will try the 12.04 upgrade to resolve my issues.
But first, what would be the best/simplest means to back up the XBMC PC from the terminal (preferably via SSH)? I see that there is a new backup tool in the Unity desktop (GUI), but I auto-boot directly into XBMC.
And second, will a simple "sudo do-release-upgrade" from an SSH session, or is it better to boot into the Unity desktop?
It is a shame, tarmo13, Dharma was so stable for me too. The WAF/GAF factor is seriously waning at the moment!!! Haha.
Sorry for the late answer
Not sure about the rest as I'm single at the moment
But just run it from SSH as I did.
BTW: I used FileZilla last time to backup my folders (settings, pictures, ...)
