So now I'm having problems with the librtmp file under Ubuntu 12.04 with official XBMC Eden Stable from the Ubuntu Repos.
I've downloaded the librtmp.so.0 from the wiki page, moved it to the right location and restarted xbmc. After this XBMC won't launch at all. If I move the old librtmp back to it's location it's working again.
Xbmc Crashlog

Important line (I guess...)
03:58:34 T:139710789584768 ERROR: Unable to load libcurl-gnutls.so.4, reason: librtmp.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Edit: I managed to fix it by not replacing the file but instead copying it to another folder like mentioned in this post. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1073703
Thanks Divingmule
Edit#2: It's not completely fixed for me. :/ The stream hangs a lot and it doesn't look like a buffer problem. Is it possible to compile and try another version of librtmp? I've read about 2.5 but it compiled 2.4 for me.
