It's possible and almost done. There is java application for scraper writing and has module for testing scraper. While scraper is xml file you can simply get it from running xbmc instance or download from the net.
I think it should be relatively easy to do that and it would be killer feature no other media manager has - you could use any scraper working in xbmc. Now everybody write scrapers again and again while it had been done.

I really miss this option because I use scraper to download descriptions in my native language.
