As has already been said, there are a few ways to save user data to sd card.

J1nx, is creating images which have the move user data to sd card, built in

Although this is not for the atv1200. it might help others with the idea.
Personally, by moving the userdata to sd, the performance of my mygica 510b, is what I was after.
