Here is the uImage of my current kernel ...
I changed the following vars in uboot env :
set bootcmd "mmc dev 0; mmc read ${loadaddr} 0x800 0x1200; bootm"
set bootargs "console=ttymxc0,115200 root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 rootfstype=ext2 ro video=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1920x1080@60,if=BGR32 consoleblank=0 fbmem=28M,10M,10M"
Regarding preempt_rt patch, if it helps I should be able to provide a wandboard kernel with this patchset applied..
To come back to the sound in xbmc , I have the same issue as you : it works but It seems that the signal is too much amplified and saturated except if I set the volume quite low...
