Ok I've done some testing on Ubuntu and I did not have any issues with playing Netflix (which also uses Silverlight) so this is good news.
The support on Linux would be the same as on Mac OS/X for the Viaplay addon.
When playback i selected the Viaplay addon will launch the selected episode or movie in the default browser and the user would have to login and start the playback themselves.
I should be able to add this to the next version.
I'm not sure what you are asking?
If you are asking about subscriptions then I would suggest that you contact Viaplay.
I'm not associated with Viaplay in any way. I only wrote an addon for Viaplay to use in XBMC...
