I assume you read the supported OS list before making your purchase decision: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboard...034034.htm. It clearly states that the Intel® NUC Kit DN2820FYK does not support Windows 7.

Quote:3. No CEC support. BTW I have all these Intel fan boys telling why I don't need CEC, how bad it is because the TV makers changed things and no-one should use it. Raspbmc runs just fine with CEC on my home TV and my friends/co worker's TVs. Why can't Intel license that the same tech?!?! it would cost them nothing. They probably spend more on corporate lunches every day.

CEC doesn't work on my Pi and a couple of my LCD/LED TV's either so not having it in the NUC is no big deal. Just because the Pi works fine on your and your mates TV don't mean it's going to work for everyone else. You need a large sample size than 2 people before assuming that CEC works with Pi and every other TV.

Quote:4. Intel doesn't support XBMC. I also am displeased with the lack of an official response to the 24hz bug. (I am guessing their legal team is to blame for that)

What are you basing that assumption on? XBMC is indeed supported, maybe just not the way you want.

1."It clearly states that the Intel® NUC Kit DN2820FYK does not support Windows 7." No it says limited windows 7 support. Windows 7 is the only good windows in support by Microsoft. That is crazy that Intel wouldn't support the number one distribution in the world. Windows 8 is pathetic and is worse than Vista.
2. That sucks your tv doesn't support CEC. We have many friends and coworkers that use CEC (5 plus families.)
3. Ouya donated money and units to XBMC.org. I want Intel to donate money or boards to the XBMC or Openelec developers. They should add features that we ask for if they want me to keep recommending their kits. I pray Ouya can keep delivering their promises to their community. I like motivated companies that are open to constructive criticism and actually try to adapt their products to the customer's requests.
