Im using the skin "Titian" on here, I really really really like it, with a couple of tweaks: I removed the blue boxes around the art...and then on the tv overlay I changed that to display "clearart" and on the EPG window I changed the art on the right to "Logo". I think both of those artwork locations were landscape to begin with, but a lot of my landscape images were either really boring looking or in the wrong language. Im really trying to mess around with this stuff in my free time. Maybe someday I can contribute....probably not though, lol. On that skin, there is poster artwork on the left in the EPG window, thats where I want the artwork from themoviedb, not fanart.tv. If I cant get it working, I might do it 1 by 1. It will take a while to get it done the first time, but as I add movies, I actually visit the site and cut and paste the name of the movie, just so I have it exactly....so it wouldnt be hard to grab the artwork while Im there
But if you want to get images for your movies and save them with the movie you dont have to do that manually. There is a selection 3rd party software to do that for you. For example ember media manager. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=191781
It's not totally automatic, but beats doing it one by one from the site. (I'm currently downloading one-by-one all those landscape thumbs from fanart.tv. )
Or just download the "artwork downloader script" for xbmc and set to use and save "local".
hey
any chance i can set the dynamic artwork to use the poster.jpg that is in the movie folder instead of the landscape?

Kinda glad you guys busted my balls about the slow channel building, New code I wrote is alot faster... at least on my end hope it works out for everyone... but on this side all parsing of local and plugin media is at least three times faster
I can't wait to give it a try. Well done and thanks!
GIMME GIMME GIMME.
i am so glad its not just on my side and it helped everyone.
