I for my part have no interest, cause I don't have any hardware that could play it.
Lamentable response.
If you do not have equipment capable of reproducing Dolby Atmos does not mean that other people do not have them.
It is also unfortunate that you are unable to make your system be able to play a system that, like it or not to you, is now available and which will be more and more titles for home use.
Lamentable response yourself.
1. Fritsch is probably the most productive developer I see in the area of the forums that I frequent the most. He is responsible for large chunks of the audio code in XBMC as well as an enormous amount of video playback code.
2. How do you expect him to code this without the equipment to test it? Donations of hardware are accepted. Perhaps you should put your hand in your pocket?
3. It is well known on this and many other open source projects that developers will code things that interest them, they get the need to "scratch that itch". If fritsch doesn't have the itch, why should he scratch yours?
4. Rudeness from people like you do nothing to keep developers on the project. Quite the opposite really.
5. The project owes you nothing, and you can get a refund on the cost of the software at the door :-)
