There is a custom HLS that the MLBMC plugin uses, and I believe initially before HLS was supported natively in XBMC Carb0 was using it for this app. The nice part about that is that you could set a pre-buffer time, which should eliminate some of the buffering we see.

The downside would be because of the external HLS binary, the add-on could not be available in the XBMC repo.

Isn't MLBMC in the official XMBC repo? I willing to lend a hand to get this into the add-on. I'm by no means an expert at writing a custom HLS, so if anyone who has experience and has some time to improve this addon please pm me and we'll get something setup.

MLBMC is in the Repo... but not the version that uses the HLS Binary. That version you needed to get from the devs google code page: https://code.google.com/p/mlbmc-xbmc/downloads/list

And obviously, using the binary is going to break the cross platform compatibility XBMC is known for, hence the reluctance to include it in official repo.

Features that could be added though (if possible with xbmc?) would be multiple feeds at once, not sure if that is doable at all. Also, it should be possible to include the Net Cams on the Home/Away feed selection screen.
