Honestly, not much. If you need passthrough in v16 then you might just need to use SPMC (wiki), which is Kodi with some extra stuff from Koying. Kodi will hopefully have passthrough in v17 even in the normal version. If you don't need passthrough, you probably don't have to do anything different.
