Could you please add an option to make a duplicate of the VIDEO_TS-fanart.jpg and name it "fanart.jpg" putting it on the same level as the VIDEO_TS folder as discussed previously in this thread. I appreciate what you suggested in the previous posts but I have over 800 backed up DVD`s and it would ljust be a nightmare fo rme to move all the files from the VIDEO_TS folder up a level.
I am sure this will help others also as it will allow XBMC, Plex etc.. to display fanart in File mode.
This is how it should look;
Batman\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS-fanart.jpg
Batman\fanart.jpg (copy of fanart in VIDEO_TS folder)
Assuming your Movies are on your D: drive in a folder called Movies and the
1st Movie (in Alphabetical order) has a folder.jpg in the root, save the
following to a file called copyfanart.cmd and place this file in your Movie folder
and double-click on it. It should do wht you want it to do...
Obviously edit the script to the proper Drive and Folder if they are not in
D:\Movies
Code:
@Echo off
for /R D:\Movies %%l in (folder.jpg) do (
cd "%%~dpl"
copy /y VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS-fanart.jpg "fanart.jpg"
cd D:\Movies
)
Of course this will only work on Win2K/XP/2003/Vista...
